We're Back!
Thank you for all of your prayers and support as we traveled to Bulgaria this summer. God did some amazing things! We'll share more stories in the coming weeks and months, but here's a list of some of the things we experienced:

- We formed friendships that will last forever.
- We met and had lunch with a pastor who was imprisoned by the communists for refusing to quit preaching the gospel.
- We met and worked with an IMB missionary in Stara Zagora, learning about her ministry and how we can help her both from home and if we return to Bulgaria.
- We visited three orphanages in two different cities. The orphanages include both special needs and non-special needs children. The students spent a lot of time with these kids, bringing smiles to their faces and showing them that God loves them very much.
- We ate things we never would have imagined eating...
- We discovered that God hears and anwers our prayers, even when people think we're crazy (wait 'til you hear the story about Krasimir!)
- We traveled hundreds and hundreds of miles by bus, taxi, train and foot
- We had one trip (our first) to a Bulgarian emergency room, resulting in a nice set of xrays of one American skull, a good outcome and miraculously, a bill for zero dollars!
- We made many friends, and have encouraged Bulgarian students to be involved in ministry in their own country (our last orphanage visit included our team, two other Americans, and sixteen Bulgarians - many of the Bulgarians came after being encouraged to do so by our students)
- We spent a week at a Bulgarian student camp
- We walked among Roman ruins where once upon a time people very likely discussed the new religion that was sweeping through the Roman empire
- And much much more!
So, are you thinking about coming with us next year, or traveling with one of the IBSA GoTeams? Start praying about it now, and soon we'll have applications and other important information available on the site!
